Sesame Technology Announces Integration of ExtraView with Perforce SCM System

Simultaneous enterprise-class defect tracking and software configuration management now available from the ExtraView command line

October 11, 2001, Scotts Valley, CA - Sesame Technology, the developer of ExtraView, a leading Web-based issue tracking and workflow management system, announced today that it would now be offering its diverse enterprise customers a standard integration with Perforce, the software configuration management system (SCM) specially designed to combine speed with ease-of-use for large, distributed development environments.

Developers using Perforce can update defects in ExtraView and check resolved files back into Perforce using a single command. Differences captured by Perforce are entered into ExtraView comments, while ExtraView defect numbers are registered in Perforce. In addition, the API's open, Perl environment makes it easy to further extend the integration to meet whatever needs might arise.
