The Perforce SCC Plug-in

P4SCC, the Perforce SCC Plug-in, enables you to perform Perforce operations from within IDEs that support the Microsoft SCC API.

This version of P4SCC has been tested with:

  • Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 (9.0)
  • Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 (8.0)
  • Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 (7.1)
  • Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0
  • Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0
Other IDEs that support the MS SCC API might also work with P4SCC, but have not been tested, certified or supported by Perforce.

  • Sync to labels, changelists, revision numbers, dates, or client workspaces.
  • Access to all pending changelists, and support for numbered changelists.

  • The aggregation of changes applied to a file over its revision history can be dynamically displayed with Time-lapse View.
  • Branch points, edits and integrations are displayed with the revision graph feature.
  • Ability to support resolve operations with either third-party or built-in diff/merge tool.
  • Supports version 1.3 of SCC API.
  • Launch the Perforce Visual Client from Visual Studio.
  • Option to automatically lock file on checkout.

Perforce Server Compatibility

  • P4SCC can be used with Perforce Server versions 2005.2 and later.
