Questions & Answers

I'm interested to know if the automatic log out of a web session after a given time of inactivity is now implemented? No, but this is currently on the roadmap for the next release. Are you working on the ability to have meta states (e.g., Closed and Closed (Verified) are represented together) for trend reports? This is a request we hear frequently, but there is no timetable at the moment for when this will be implemented. What is a Reviewer license? First time I’ve heard about it. The TestTrack Requirements Reviewer license is a read-only license that enables people to comment on requirements and move them through the workflow. It's meant as a more cost-effective way for users that don't need full access to TestTrack, but rather just login for review sessions. See http://www.seapine.com/ttrmreviewer.html for more information as well a short recorded demo. Can the list of widgets that show along the top of the Home page be customized? Yes, the project administrator creates a set of widgets and shares them with various security groups. Once the widgets are created, users can pick any combination of widgets they have access to for their Home page. How are the widgets defined? Widgets are created from the Tools > Administration menu, where the project administrator can create and configure as many widgets as needed. Can the ability to create a widget be given to a security group other than Admin? Yes, who can create and modify widgets is defined within security groups so you can give this permission to any or all groups. Can different widgets be assigned to different security groups? Yes, each widget can be shared with 1 or more security groups. Can you view the status widgets from a separate web page (e.g., SharePoint or a Wiki)? No. Right now, the widgets can be used only with the TestTrack client. What software development tools will TestTrack integrate with? TestTrack currently integrates with a variety of source control tools as well as Visual Studio and Eclipse IDEs. A complete list is available in this knowledgebase article: http://www.seapine.com/kb/questions/1451/TestTrack+Third-Party+Integrations. Can TestTrack handle multiple SVN repositories per project? Yes, but each user picks the SCM connection to use on their local client. If a single user wanted to connect to multiple SCM systems, they would have to manually change the connection settings each time. Do you plan to add reports creation in the web client? Yes, we plan to continue to improve the web client to get it to feature parity with the desktop client, but there is currently no set timetable for when that will happen. Can you generate trace matrices from snapshot versions? Not currently. Can the widgets be clicked to go to the list of related issues? Yes, clicking a widget will open a list window with the filter from the widget applied. Can you version reports that are generated? Not currently. If you have a specific use case for this, please submit a feature request: http://www.seapine.com/requestfeature.phpIt would be great to be able to add users to multiple security groups, any plans for this?
