Identifying Data Trends in TestTrack at the End of a Period
TestTrack 2014.1 introduces a new trend report that shows the number of items in each workflow state at the end of a specified time period (days, weeks, or months). For example, you may want to report on the total number of issues in each state at the end of each day to see how things are progressing on a project. You can also include a chart to help identify trends. The following example reports on the number of issues in each state at the end of each month within a year. To create this type of report, add a trend report and select Items in each workflow state when the period ended on the Report On tab in the Add Trend Report dialog box. You can select the time period to use, stylesheet, and filter to apply on the Options tab, and configure a chart on the Charting tab. Speaking of stylesheets, the report example above uses the NonDetailReport.xslt stylesheet. We added a couple of new stylesheets in TestTrack 2014.1 that only display the report header and chart, or only the chart, if you do not want to include the detailed report information. They are named ChartsOnlyReport.xslt and HeaderAndChartsReport.xslt. (Tip: You can use these new stylesheets for distribution reports too.) You may also want to note that we renamed a couple of existing options on the Add Trend Report dialog box to make them easier to understand. You do not need to change any existing reports based on these changes.Email sign up
