What Makes A Good Check-in?
The central operation in any version control system (VCS) like Perforce is the check-in (submit in Perforce-speak), but often not enough consideration is given to the quality of the submit itself, only to the code. Since I have been working in this industry for a while and experienced many different approaches from our customers, and ourselves, I wondered: what actually makes a good check-in?
