System overview

Helix TeamHub on-premises is the private installation running on your organization's infrastructure, behind a firewall. The overview section of this guide provides information about the operating environment of TeamHub, the architecture, release process, and other important background information.

Operating environment

Helix TeamHub is composed of a number of popular open source components. See System architecture. TeamHub provides a comprehensive solution for hosting and managing enterprise software. It is provided as a native package, including .rpm and .deb, and can be installed on one of the supported 64-bit architecture Linux platforms.

Administrative account

Most of the Helix TeamHub services run as a local hth user account, except services that require binding to privileged ports. Full sudo rights are required.

Additionally, TeamHub provides a special Admin account for administration using the TeamHub admin web client. Administrator privileges allow a user to maintain the TeamHub installation.
