Position Summary
The Marketing Automation Specialist plays an essential role in Marketing and works closely with marketing leadership to monitor, measure and analyze the effectiveness of marketing initiatives as they relate to the overall company’s goals. You will work to create scalable processes that ensure best practices in lead management, nurturing and database management. You will also conduct complex data analyses that will be used to inform strategic decisions by stakeholders across the company. You will be working in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects at once.

The ideal candidate has at least 1-3 years of Marketo and Salesforce experience in a professional setting, is process and detail-oriented, a proactive problem solver, and highly organized.

Essential Functions
  • Manage technical aspects of Marketo and Salesforce.com to generate, nurture, distribute and report on leads.
  • Lead Lifecycle Management – Understand and monitor the lead lifecycle from acquisition to nurture, conversion, and re-engagement in Salesforce and Marketo. Upload and clean leads, manage lead source tracking, monitor and report on lead progression, maintain lead routing to Sales, lead quality assurance and troubleshooting. Refine lead-scoring process to pass qualified leads to sales and improve conversion rates.
  • Marketo Administration—Establish and maintain scalable processes that ensure best practices in campaign and lead management. Create workflows between Marketo and Salesforce to pass MQLs to sales. Create web and email assets for webinars, trade shows, ad campaigns, sales campaigns, and email nurtures. Manage web forms. Test and optimize email nurture programs and landing pages for engagement and conversions.
  • Marketing KPI Reporting—Create marketing reports and dashboards in Salesforce and Marketo to track lead funnel, lead acquisition channels, leads to revenue, event performance, email performance, etc.
  • Marketing Campaign Performance Tracking – Set priorities in implementation and development of Marketo campaigns that support the demand generation strategy and ensure proper lead flow to MQL and SQL. Track, measure, and report on the global campaign performance against agreed-upon metrics. Identify and analyze gaps and actions plans to course-correct as the campaign execution unfolds. Make recommendations for campaign improvements and new campaign ideas.
  • Email Marketing – Build campaigns and target lists for email marketing and nurturing, monitor key email performance metrics, and manage unsubscribes/subscription preferences.
  • Marketing Process Quality Control—Audit and enforce standards for lead and campaign management and for marketing tools such as Salesforce, Marketo, and the rest of the Perforce marketing tech stack. Analyze marketing and sales data to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimization.
  • Evaluate new technologies and add-on applications to improve and optimize marketing team performance.
  • Work on data analysis projects as needed.
  • Lead or assist with other marketing projects as needed.
 
Required Education, Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a related marketing role
  • Experience working with Marketo marketing automation platform and Salesforce CRM
  • Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail
  • Strong collaborator with excellent communication skills
  • Experience with tracking and reporting on marketing KPIs for key stakeholders
  • Experience with marketing campaign design and implementation
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office software suite.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Must have a strong desire to learn and try new things
