Position Summary
As a Marketing Manager at Perforce you will drive content strategy and development, demand generation, sales enablement, and other marketing activities for your brand(s) of Perforce products. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for the planning, execution, and reporting of all lead gen and nurture campaigns, website content, blogging and social posts, events, release communications, public relations, and partner marketing.

This role collaborates with the Director of Marketing to develop the product marketing strategy, including developing innovative, multi-channel demand generation plans across target verticals and leveraging new technologies and strategies, including account-based marketing, programmatic advertising, and predictive analytics. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of multi-disciplined marketing experience in a high-tech organization.


Essential Functions
  • Own the content strategy for your products and become expert at value proposition, buyer personas, and target markets—including target verticals. Work with internal subject matter experts and product managers to ensure the sales team and all sales channels are equipped with the sales tools required to support the sales process of your products. This includes managing the sales and partner portals, keeping all required sales tools up to date and available.
  • Develop and launch multi-channel lead generation campaigns aligned with key messaging themes. Channels may include online advertising, email marketing, 3rd party publications, blogging and social media, webinars, and trade shows. Collaborate with Marketing Operations team to define and set up the tracking and reporting for each campaign. Present campaigns to Sales and report on success in monthly team meetings.
  • Work with a dedicated Marketing Writer to develop all marketing content for your brand, including white papers, case studies, web pages, ad copy, emails, blog posts, press releases, speaking proposals, social media content, webinar abstracts, and video or call scripts.
  • Work with product managers to define messaging and communications plans required to successfully launch each product release. 
  • Partner & Alliance marketing – Work with Sales leadership to identify and determine most effective ways to enable reseller partners and leverage top technology alliance relationships. Work with other team members to manage those partnerships and drive the relationship strategy and co-marketing development.
  • Customer marketing – Establish relationships with customers for your products.  Work with the sales teams and content marketing to identify customers willing to participate in marketing programs to promote your products’ key differentiators.
  • Analyst Relations – Work with the Director of Marketing and VP of Marketing on analyst relations programs and respond to analyst inquiries for data and content on your products and how they fit into the marketplace. 

Required Education, Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field.
  • Five years of marketing experience in increasingly complex roles is required.
  • Three or more years of marketing experience within a technology organization is preferred.
  • Marketing experience should ideally be multi-disciplined: marketing communications, vertical marketing, demand generation, marketing programs/events, etc.
  • Demonstrated excellence in project management.
  • Strong time management skills and is able to manage multiple priorities within tight time constraints.
  • Understanding of Marketing KPIs, funnel reporting, attribution models, and lead lifecycle work flows. Ability to analyze performance metrics and make data-driven decisions. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or Salesforce reporting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively about technical concepts with both technical and non-technical audiences across the company.
