Commons is an easy-to-use document collaboration tool backed by the Perforce versioning engine.

  • P4Win
    The Perforce Windows Client
    1999.2-2008.1

All development work has ceased on this component.

The legacy Perforce Windows Client, P4Win, is a Windows-only GUI. We recommend that Windows users migrate to the multiplatform P4V, Perforce helix Visual Client for its powerful functionality and updated graphical tools.

The P4Win Installer is located in the Windows directory for each release through 2008.1. For example, the 2008.1 version of the Perforce Windows Client is found here:

  • P4WinMerge
    The Perforce Visual Merge for Windows

P4WinMerge, Perforce Visual Merge for Windows was Perforce's first graphical merge tool. We highly recommend that Windows users migrate to the multiplatform P4Merge, Perforce Helix Visual Merge Tool to take advantage of its powerful functionality and updated graphical tools.

P4WinMerge is bundled with the P4Win Installer, which is located in the Windows directory for each release through 2008.1 and is found here:

    The Perforce Visual Diff for Windows

P4Diff, Perforce Visual Diff for Windows shows line-by-line changes between files in a single pane layout.

We highly recommend that users migrate to the multiplatform P4Merge, Perforce Visual Merge Tool to take advantage of its powerful diffing functionality and updated graphical tools.

    The Perforce Review Daemon

P4Review periodically polls P4D to determine newly submitted changelists and/or jobs, then sends email to interested users. The script talks directly to your mail server using a library that comes standard with Python.

P4Review is maintained and supported by the community and is available for download or to build from source in the Perforce Workshop.

  • P4OFC
    Perforce Plug-in for Microsoft Office
    2003.1-2007.3

P4OFC, Perforce Plug-in for Microsoft Office allows Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project files to be easily stored and managed in Perforce. With P4OFC, users don't have to leave a familiar environment to bring their documents under Perforce control. The last officially supported version of P4OFC is here:

P4Office, a new open source integration for Office that is wholly maintained and supported by the community is available for download or to build from source in the Perforce Workshop.

  • P4DTI
    The Perforce Defect Tracking Integration
    2000.2-2007.2

P4DTI, Perforce Defect Tracking Integration connects your Bugzilla or TeamTrack instance to Perforce. P4DTI is compatible with Perforce Server 2000.2 to 2007.2. We highly recommend users migrate to a modern defect tracking solution.

P4DTI is available from the Perforce Workshop.

  • CWPerforce
    The Perforce CodeWarrior Plug-in
    2002.1-2005.1

CWPerforce, the Perforce CodeWarrior Plug-in, enables users to perform Perforce operations from within the Freescale Codewarrior IDE. CWPerforce is available for Windows and Macintosh platforms from release 2002.1 to 2005.1.

CWPerforce can be downloaded from the Perforce FTP site in the platform-specific directory for each release. The 2005.1 version of the Perforce CodeWarrior Plug-in for Macintosh OS X (10.2 and 10.3) is found here:
