Robert Cowham
Principal Consultant, Perforce
Robert is a Senior Principal Consultant at Perforce and the technical lead for the P4 Professional Services team. He has more than a decade of consulting experience across the P4 platform. His team works with customers on all aspects of P4 Server implementation and troubleshooting and assists large customers in designing appropriate P4 Server topologies.
Robert is the primary author of P4Prometheus, a set of tools for best-practice monitoring of P4 deployments that is used by many Perforce customers and by the P4 Remote Administration team for monitoring and alerting. He also has extensive experience developing and using tools to migrate data and full history into P4 from other systems, including CVS, Subversion (SVN), ClearCase, PTC Integrity, and Git.
He has long specialized in Configuration Management and improving software development practices across enterprises. He is a DevOps expert and is on the committee of the British Computer Society Specialist Group for Change, Configuration and Release Management, where he was formerly Chair. In his spare time he runs a dojo in the Japanese martial art of Aikido and Kashima-no-Tachi Kenjutsu.
