2015 ChinaJoy: Beyond Online Gaming
Last month, the biggest digital industry show in China, ChinaJoy, took place in Shanghai’s new international expo center. Over 400 companies from more than 30 countries covered nearly 129 million square feet of space.
ChinaJoy conferences have traditionally focused on online gaming, but 2015 featured myriad mobile, console and web games. The conference showcased new entertainment technologies, including platform crossover, intelligent and interactive designs, and offered resources and innovations that are shaping the global gaming industry.
One of the most notable games at the show was the beta test launch of Naruto Mobile, from Tencent, China’s largest Internet portal (and a Perforce customer). The mobile fighter MMO game was a highlight for many of the show’s 273,000 attendees.
Shanghai’s DragonSoft Digital Technology Co., Ltd., a partner of Perforce in China, exhibited at the show; many visitors were drawn to DragonSoft’s booth by the Perforce logo. We enjoyed discussions about Perforce’s rich history in the gaming industry and product advances made with Perforce Helix.
It was great to be part of one of the world’s biggest gaming conferences. We are excited to see the where the industry takes us next year!
