DBmaestro at MERGE 2014: The Challenges and Pitfalls of Database Continuous Delivery
Some of the hottest trends today are Continuous Integration (CI), DevOps and above all, Continuous Delivery (CD). Here at DBmaestro, our role in the CD ecosystem involves adding database code changes into version control.
During my session at Perforce's MERGE 2014 conference, I'll discuss the challenges of Continuous Delivery from the database point of view - managing database changes to avoid the bottlenecks and dangers that most IT applications experience all the way from development to deployment.
Ahead of my presentation at MERGE, DBmaestro is conducting a "State of Continuous Delivery & the Database" survey, which I encourage you to take. The results will be discussed during my presentation and all entries go into a draw to win Beats by Dr. Dre headphones.
As a fan of Perforce for more than 13 years (I've worked with Perforce in my Symantec days), it’s my pleasure and honor to accept Perforce's invitation to speak at MERGE 2014. I believe the conference is a great place to share my experience and help the Perforce community save time, costs and learn from the experiences of others. I look forward to seeing you there!
