Perforce On Tour 2015: It’s a Wrap

Perforce on Tour 2015 came to a close at the end of September with the final two stops of our road trip in Berlin and London. The events had an overarching theme of ‘Product Development for Tomorrow’s World,’ and delegates went away armed with great advice and tips to take back to their organizations.

Our keynote in Berlin was Ovum analyst Michael Azoff, who gave an informative account of the main challenges in IT development and how DevOps is becoming a leading pattern of work. Scania then followed with an illuminating account of how the truck manufacturer is adopting a DevOps culture within its IT department – “trust and some code” was its motto and the session was delivered by both a development and operations manager.

In London, Dale Vile, from Freeform Dynamics, delivered insights into the latest development trends that should be on our radar as we move forward into 2016, such as Continuous Delivery, DevOps, and DevSec. The most enthusiastic speaker of the day was Jason Leonard, from Citrix, who explained how the company is securing its Perforce Helix development environment in the most robust way possible. Embedded specialist, u-blox, gave an educational session on how best to use Jenkins with Helix.

Slides from both cities are available via SlideShare – take a look when you get the chance.

A big thank you to our partner sponsors – Rogue Wave, Polarion, DBmaestro and CloudBees – for supporting Perforce on Tour. We know that our customers enjoyed meeting you!

It’s a wrap for this year’s Perforce on Tour, but don’t forget to submit a session proposal to be a speaker and attend MERGE 2016 in San Francisco for free.
