Have you upgraded to Surround SCM 2015.1 yet? If not, you’re missing out on some nice new features and enhancements. Here’s a quick look at what’s new.

Report on code reviews

Two new reports based on code reviews are now available. Code review reports show historical information about a code review and the files in it. These reports can help you see reviews that aren’t complete and any unaddressed comments. They also help you review your code review process to see the types of comments added and save code review process information for audits. Summary reports show the status of each review. CodeReviewSummaryReport Detail reports show unaddressed comments, addressed comments, or both types of comments for each review. CodeReviewDetailReport To run a code review report, select a Report on Code Reviews option in the Code Reviews window and click Report On. More infoCode review coverage reports show information about file versions in code reviews and if the file reviews are complete or still in progress. These reports can help you decide if you’re ready to ship your product, measure coverage of your code review process, or demonstrate to an auditor that your code was reviewed. CodeReviewCovReport To create a code review coverage report, choose Tools > Reports, click Add, select Code Review Coverage, and click OK. More info

Add branch-independent bookmarks

You can add bookmarks to quickly go to files, repositories, and branches you frequently use. Now, you can add bookmarks that navigate to the repository or file on the branch selected in the Source Tree window, which gives you more flexibility to use bookmarks across branches instead of only the branch saved in the bookmark. AddBookmark You can select a navigation option when creating a bookmark: Always go to <BranchName> branch always navigates to the same branch when you select the bookmark and Do not switch branches navigates to the repository or file in the branch selected in the Source Tree window. Enforce minimum comment lengths for specific actions
