Certain Affinity's mission is to create innovative action-oriented games set in immersive worlds. In 2007, they released their first product, Halo 2's Blastactular Map Pack for Bungie and Microsoft. The Purchase
Certain Affinity purchased Helix following a brief evaluation on recommendation from a client. During the evaluation period, one of the projects required a client located in Irvine, California to sync to the head revision from the Helix server in Austin, Texas. As the file sizes grew, the bandwidth required to sync increased from 1 mbps to 10 mbps, resulting in a significant expense for the client. A solution was much needed. "I called Perforce technical support hoping for a miracle and it resulted in a no-cost setup of the Helix proxy, which facilitated on-demand file access and saved the client valuable time and money," said Galway.

P4V is very intuitive and basic features can be configured quickly, however, to take advantage of features like time-lapse view (to review file history within a window) and revision graph (to visualize the entire branching structure), it takes a little more in-depth knowledge.
