Principal Software Engineer
Alex Celeste is a Principal Software Engineer at Perforce Software. She maintains the C compiler/analyzer and the Rust analyzer for the Perforce QAC static analyzer toolchain, and represents Perforce on the MISRA C, ISO C, and Safety Critical Rust working groups.
She has been an active participant in the development of C23, co-authoring the new type-deduction and constant-expression features for the language, as well as polymorphism and TS 25007 for C2Y, alongside other new language features; and in the development of many of the new rules found in MISRA C:2023, and now on the new revision of the MISRA Guidelines that targets C23 and other extensions. She is currently working on adaptions of the Guidelines to cover Rust.
She is part of the type-safe-generics cabal in the C Committee, and started the “CRFI” study group for library feature evolution.
She is also Chair of the Safety Critical Rust Consortium’s “Liaison SG,” linking guest speakers to Rust community members and coordinating contact between study groups.
