VOO Telecom Improves Test Management With Seapine Software

TestTrack handily meets the needs of both IT and technical departments, resulting in boosted test repeatability and better processes

CINCINNATI, OH—July 6, 2016—Sometimes, the spark of an innovative idea and the desire to collaborate encourages departments to set aside barriers to improvement. VOO Telecom, a Belgium-based internet, telephony, and television service provider, did just that when two departments implemented a common test management tool. They chose Seapine Software’s TestTrack, which improved the repeatability and processes for both departments.

When Geoffrey Zanelli came aboard as VOO’s testing manager in the technical department, the technical department was using Microsoft Word and Excel for test cases and test case management, while the IT department was a long-time user of Microsoft SharePoint to run their tests. Due to company growth, the technical and IT departments were starting to feel hindered by the limitations of managing their testing with those tools.

Zanelli was aware that Seapine’s TestTrack had similar functionality to that of other test management solutions, like HP Quality Center, yet was more affordable. To him, TestTrack’s potential as a robust and structured test management system seemed too great not to explore…but not just within his own department. He saw wider-reaching benefits.
