- Description: March Networks implemented Helix ALM to improve issue management and aid in developing high-quality, enterprise-level products.
March Networks is a global provider of intelligent IP video solutions. For close to a decade, the company has helped some of the world’s largest commercial and government organizations transition from traditional CCTV to networked video surveillance used for advanced security, loss prevention, and risk mitigation.
March implemented Helix Issue Management (IM) at its Ottawa, Canada and Milan, Italy development offices to track and manage potential defects, feature requests, change requests, and other work items in the development process.
Helix IM easily integrated with other previously installed Helix ALM modules, helping the organization manage the development of quality software across both locations. Both offices also use Helix Test Case Management (TCM) to manage test cases, and the Milan office uses Surround SCM for software configuration management.
“We are very pleased with Perforce's Helix IM solution and the company’s support services, and anxious to implement the other Perforce ALM tools to take full advantage of the integrated capabilities,” said Andrew Collins, Product Validation Manager, March Networks. “This will enable us to better track and manage test cases, defects, and software changes in a comprehensive fashion.”
March Networks also evaluated Helix Requirements Management (RM) and saw the advantages of upstream and downstream traceability of artifacts. “Perforce has a great product line with first-class features,” Collins said.
