Chapter 3 - Areas of Automotive Software Development
The automotive software industry continues to evolve and adapt to growing market demands. As we can see from the respondents to this survey, today’s vehicles are made up of many different software components and development focuses, both electric and non-electric. There were responses in most of these areas, allowing us to establish some noteworthy trends that emerged in our survey results.
New and emerging technology, including electric vehicle areas such as EV Charging, Energy Management, and 3D Visualization/Digital Twins/Immersive Design also shaped the survey results differently in many sections of the report compared to other components, and continue to drive innovation in the automotive space.
