Delphix was integrated into the organization’s CI/CD pipeline using Ansible. When users need a new VDB, they submit a ticket that automatically triggers provisioning through automation. Teams can also refresh data or access the latest versions in minutes using bookmarks and self‑service tools, without relying on a separate backup team.

Delphix also plays a key role in disaster recovery, enabling teams to convert virtual databases into physical databases and restore application availability when needed.

We are Delphix customer of six years. We are using Delphix to generate our production copies for our development environment, and it made a significant improvement in terms of storage, saving cost, and availability of the data for our development and QA. For our development environment, we heavily rely on production copies of our databases. It involves a lot of paper permissions, and it takes time. Earlier, we used to take get a copy of the production database to one to two weeks. With the help of Delphix, we are able to reduce that time to one to two days. Top of that, user can get the latest data less than five to ten minutes using bookmarks and refresh of virtual databases.

We automated Delphix with our CICD pipeline.

If anyone wants to create a VDB, so they just submit a ticket, and a job is triggered in Ansible.

All the resource edition, VDB additions can be done using Ansible automation. So in case of disaster recovery, we heavily rely on Delphix.

We can convert our VDB to a database and make our application available. We are saving a lot of cost in terms of storage.

Customer can access the data. He needs the latest data. He doesn't need to depend on any other backup team. They can do it by themselves using Delphix's UI or refresh option. It helps us to test the whole life cycle, and, the data is available. Instead of two weeks' time, now it's available in one to three days. We need Delphix there so it can improve efficiency and reduce the time, and we can deliver our project and testing in targeted time.
