Introducing Our New Korean Website

A recent study found that nine out of ten internet users are unwilling to visit a website that’s not in their native language.[1] This statistic might not be surprising, but when you consider that there are somewhere between 6,000 and 7,000 languages spoken in the world, it raises the stakes when deciding where to begin the daunting task of localizing a website.

Perforce products are used by many of the largest and most successful companies in Korea, China and Japan, such as consumer electronics leader Samsung, premier games publisher NCSoft, and leading chip manufacturer SK Hynix. With this in mind, last year our Engineering team completed Korean and Simplified Chinese editions of our Helix versioning engine, our visual client and the associated documentation. We’d already offered Japanese versions of these products and we recently added a Japanese edition of Helix Swarm, our code collaboration tool.

Following the lead of our product teams, we embarked on localizing our website as well. We recently launched a newly branded Korean website. Now Korean companies are able to learn all about our products in their local language. Next up is Simplified Chinese, a localization effort that’s already well under way. That launch will be followed closely by a Japanese website and then one in German.

We are glad to have these new localized pages live on our website.

여러분들이 많이 좋아해 주시면 좋겠습니다 (we hope you like them).
