OpsHub Integration

Helix ALM
We’ve added an exciting new capability to Seapine’s ALM suite this year that allows us to integrate with other ALM solutions you may be using, such as such as IBM Rational Doors, IBM Rational Requisite Pro, Perforce, Subversion, and Microsoft TFS. OpsHub is the leading vendor of ALM integration software, and we’ve been working with them over the last few months to allow for full, two-way integration with TestTrack and other tools like Doors and Jira. OpsHubOpsHub provides an integration server with standard ALM product adapters that monitor each system, looking for changes and keep each system in synch. For example, if you are running both TestTrack RM and IBM Doors, the system can be configured to create a TestTrack RM requirement when a new requirement is added to Doors. Then, as the development team updates that item in TestTrack RM (e.g. attaches code or marks the requirement as implemented) the Doors system is always kept in sync. This includes mapping data that might not be identical. In TestTrack Pro, a defect may be marked as “Fixed”, while in Jira the item is marked as “Completed”. OpsHub takes care of mapping and synchronizing these states. We’ve heard from a number of customers that need this type of approach. Some are looking at implementing a full TestTrack solution, but need to keep using their legacy system as existing projects transition to the new environment. In this case, some team members continue using the legacy system while the rest are using TestTrack, but they want to make sure everyone has access to updated information. OpsHub is a great transition approach that they may only keep running for a specific period of time. Another common scenario is when a group of users in an organization want to stay on their existing solution, but the remainder of the organization wants to move to TestTrack. For example, your project management office might be using Doors to create and manage requirements, but the development and QA team use TestTrack for their artifacts. In this case, OpsHub can be a permanent part of your installation, allowing everyone to work with the tool that best meets their role’s needs. Of course, we’d love to have everyone use the Seapine ALM suite exclusively, which will always provide the deepest, and easiest, integration. However, we realize that’s not always possible, so Seapine and OpsHub are ready and willing to make your organization maximally productive with minimum effort.
