About the Showcase
The Art of Version Control is an open 3D art competition that invites character artists, level designers, 3D modelers, and digital creators of all kinds to share their craft and process.
This is your chance to showcase your original work and concepts for some real recognition and some seriously great prizes—up to $1000 in Visa gift cards, a 1:1 portfolio review, and a feature at GDC 2027.
Your art will be reviewed by the leads behind the Call of Duty, The Last of Us, Minecraft, and the NBA 2K franchises, and you’ll gain visibility across the game development community.
Connect with our community. Create at your own pace. You have until 11:59pm ET on Thursday, April 30, 2026 to refine and submit your best work.
