Exporting / Importing Surround SCM Settings
As Fernando wrote, switching computers is not so much fun. If you ever need to export/import your Surround SCM settings to another PC this might help out some. Of course these are Windows only instructions, as Grant will point out, I use pico, so I’m not much help in *nix world. Start -> Run -> “regedit” Now, navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> SOFTWARE -> Seapine Software -> Surround SCM -> SCM Client Right-click the SCM Client folder and click “Export”. Save this .reg file and then transfer the file over to your new PC. After installing Surround SCM on your new machine, double-click the registry file and choose install. You should now have your old settings, including window positions and diff/merge settings, transferred over.
