MISRA C:2012 Directive Enforcement
‘A directive is a guideline for which it is not possible to provide the Yes description necessary to perform a check for compliance.’ MISRA C:2012 Section 6.1. Due to the nature of directives, they are, in theory, not statically enforceable, however, the use of the tools can supply some assistance in checking.
