Out-of-the-box Plugins

Helix integrates with many industry standard applications and development environments through a number of plugins and connectors. Here’s a partial list of supported tools.

  • Do anything directly from the P4 command line
  • Use the Perforce Visual Client (P4V) for the convenience of a GUI
  • Use Git at the command line or from any Git client

Build & Reporting Utilities

Helix provides specific extensions for popular build tools:

  • P4Ant implements Helix commands as Ant tasks via the Perforce Java API
  • P4Maven implements source control using Helix in Maven

And provides reporting tools to expose Helix data more easily for consumers:

  • P4toDB replicates Helix metadata to many open source and commercial databases
  • P4Report provides an ODBC connection for any reporting tool that can use it
