Perforce Adds Atlassian Jira and Redmine to Fully Supported SCM Integration Lineup

Alameda, Calif., February 2, 2011—Perforce Software today announced the latest release of its defect tracking gateway (P4DTG), which now includes robust and easily configured integrations with Jira and Redmine. This release of P4DTG adds all the technology required to implement an integrated solution between Perforce and Jira, a popular issue tracking and project tracking tool, and Redmine, an open source project management web application. Redmine and Jira now join HP Quality Center and Bugzilla in the fully-supported lineup of integrations included in P4DTG.

“Adding Jira and Redmine to the growing list of integrations we support is part of our ongoing commitment to make it as simple as possible for our customers to work with the tools they want,” said Randy DeFauw, technical marketing manager for Perforce Software.

P4DTG includes two primary components, a graphical configuration editor and a replication engine. The visual configuration editor makes it easy to map fields between the defect tracking system and Perforce. The replication engine coordinates the propagation of data between Perforce and the defect tracking system. The system supports the one-way or bi-directional synchronization of data. Changelist information, describing the work done and files changed while addressing a job, can also be replicated to the defect tracking system.

Availability & Pricing of the Perforce Defect Tracking Gateway

P4DTG is included in Perforce Server version 2010.2. There are no special licenses to purchase, install, or configure. Interested developers are invited to download and evaluate Perforce free from the Perforce website. This offer includes free technical support during evaluation.

Perforce pricing is all-inclusive; there are no add-on components that require licensing. End-user licenses for the complete solution, including one year of support and maintenance, start at $900 per seat; volume discounts are available.
