Perforce Foundation Completes Year of Giving
Alameda, Calif. (January 3, 2013) — The Perforce Foundation today announced the close of another year of charitable giving, continuing Perforce Software's commitment to assist local and global charities and empowering its employees to support causes they care about. The foundation supports a charitable company culture that enables more than 200 Perforce employees to give significant donations annually.
Established by Perforce Software, the Perforce Foundation is dedicated to giving back to the community and supporting global charities through its Corporate Tithing Program. The program annually provides every employee the opportunity to donate to up to three recognized charities or causes of their choosing.
"It's extremely rewarding that our corporate foundation allows me to make greater contributions to causes I'm passionate about," said Kathy Baldanza, vice president of engineering at Perforce Software. "For the last three years, I have backed Girls Inc. of Alameda County, an organization that empowers girls to be strong, smart and bold through academic enrichment activities, skill-building programs and counseling services."
Other foundation initiatives include the staff-operated Perforce Giving Committee, which directs additional funds to philanthropic efforts beyond the Corporate Tithing Program each year.
Among the many benefactors of the Perforce Foundation are:
- The Alameda Boys and Girls Club
- BBC Children in Need
- The Child Abuse Listening, Interviewing and Coordination Center
- The Little Ice Rink at Alameda South Shore Center
- Rhythmix Cultural Works
- The Specialist People Foundation
"The tithing program is one of the most appreciated employee programs at Perforce," said Carrie Ewing, vice president of operations at Perforce. "It's a valued aspect of working at Perforce, and we're proud to be able to allocate company funds to the Perforce Foundation for the benefit of charities both near and far."
