Perforce Improves Collaboration, Previews New REST API In Latest Helix ALM Release

MINNEAPOLIS, November 7, 2017 — Perforce Software, a provider of solutions to development teams requiring massive scale, visibility, and security along the development lifecycle, announced the release of Helix ALM 2017.2 (formerly TestTrack), with new features and enhancements for all three modules: Helix RM, Helix IM, and Helix TCM.

Helix ALM supports some of the largest and most quality-critical development teams in the world creating innovative, life-saving devices. With this release, Helix ALM continues to provide the best end-to-end coverage of the entire application lifecycle, offering development teams unparalleled traceability and visibility into project status.

In the 2017.2 release, Helix ALM users will find an easier way to share important information across the team by saving and sharing item lists. A new Administration area in the web client now allows for the management of users and customers via the web, and users can try a technical preview of Helix ALM’s new REST API. These are just a few of the many features and enhancements now available in the 2017.2 release.

Helix ALM is a modern, modular solution that provides quality-centric application lifecycle management and product readiness, working concurrently with people, processes, and tools along the development pipeline. Helix ALM offers industry-unique, seamless links between its three major functions – Requirements Management, Issue Management and Test Management. Teams can manage all product and system development phases and artifacts — from requirements and user stories through QA cycles and deployment — with just one solution.

Perforce acquired Seapine Software, the maker of TestTrack, in November of 2016.
