Perforce Software Announces New Partnership with Lyra Infosystems

Alameda, Calif., June 23, 2011—Perforce Software announced the addition of Lyra Infosystems, a Bangalore-based company serving the embedded systems market, to its global partner program. Lyra joins a growing portfolio of international partners capable of delivering Perforce Software's SCM version management platform to key markets around the world.

Perforce is used widely to version and manage the software source code and digital assets that are created by embedded systems developers in the United States and Europe. In India, the partnership with Lyra will bring local Perforce-based solutions and services to the rapidly growing embedded systems market.

According to research published by the India Semiconductor Association in April 2011, the total embedded software industry in India was estimated at $5.3 billion in 2009 and is projected to reach $8.6 billion in 2012. The study cites "telecom, portable or wireless products and consumer electronics products" as the major verticals—sectors in which Perforce SCM is traditionally strong—and accounting for three-fourths of the embedded software industry in India.
